Clinical Supervision

Virtual Clinical Supervision Across Texas

I provide individual virtual clinical supervision for LMSWs working toward LCSW licensure in Texas. Supervision is conducted through SimplePractice, allowing me to work with LMSWs across the state.

Clinical supervision is more than completing the hours required for licensure. It is a space to strengthen your clinical judgment, build confidence in your skills, explore your professional identity, and navigate the complexities of being a social worker while staying grounded in your own values and strengths.

My approach to supervision is collaborative, relational, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I strive to create a supportive space where supervisees can ask questions openly, think critically, receive honest and constructive feedback, and develop their own authentic approach to clinical practice.

Supervisees obtain their clinical experience through their own employment or approved clinical setting. Clinical supervision with Lotus Rising ATX does not include employment, placement, clients, or clinical work hours.

My Approach

My clinical work is person-centered, relational-cultural, and strengths-based, with a foundation in mindfulness, attachment theory, somatic approaches, and neuroscience. I draw from evidence-based and evidence-informed modalities including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

Supervision is tailored to your professional goals, clinical setting, experience, learning style, and the populations you serve.

What We Can Explore in Supervision

Depending on your setting, experience, and professional goals, supervision may include:

  • Case conceptualization and clinical decision-making

  • Trauma-informed assessment and treatment

  • Ethics, boundaries, and professional development

  • Documentation and clinical practice

  • Cultural humility and culturally responsive care

  • Working with trauma, addiction, and co-occurring concerns

  • Neurodiversity-affirming care

  • Countertransference and use of self

  • Burnout, sustainability, and professional boundaries

  • Preparing for independent clinical practice

  • Developing your identity and confidence as a therapist

I have a particular passion for decolonizing mental health, embracing cultural diversity, and supporting clinicians who want to provide thoughtful, affirming, and culturally responsive care.

Getting Started

Before beginning supervision, I offer a complimentary consultation so we can get to know one another and discuss your professional goals, supervision needs, clinical setting, and learning style. This also gives us an opportunity to determine whether we would be a good fit.

To schedule a complimentary supervision consultation, contact me at Isha@LotusRisingATX.com or (512) 400-0103.

Supervision Fees & Scholarships

Individual Clinical Supervision: $150/hour

I believe financial barriers should not be the only thing preventing emerging social workers from accessing quality clinical supervision. A limited number of supervision scholarships are available for LMSWs who would otherwise have difficulty affording the full supervision fee.

Scholarships provide a reduced supervision rate based on financial need, systemic barriers, and availability. Please feel free to ask about scholarship availability during your complimentary consultation.

I also encourage supervisees to check with their employer about reimbursement or professional development funds that may be available for outside clinical supervision.

Beginning Supervision

If we decide to begin the supervision journey together, we will complete the required BHEC Clinical Supervision Plan as well as a supervision agreement outlining expectations, policies, fees, and the structure of our work together.

Supervision is generally held for one hour each week in accordance with Texas requirements for clinical supervision. LMSWs pursuing clinical licensure in Texas must complete 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience over a minimum of 24 months, including at least 100 hours of clinical supervision with an approved supervisor.

I provide external clinical supervision for LMSWs who are gaining their clinical experience through their own employment or approved clinical setting. Supervision through Lotus Rising ATX does not include employment, placement, or the provision of clients or clinical hours.

For additional information about Texas LCSW licensure and supervision requirements, visit the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners website or contact me directly.

I’d be honored to support you as you grow into the clinician you want to be.
